How is this NOT a classic conflict of interest?

What the fuck were they thinking?

With all the flack between the current Administration and the Press and City Council regarding the environmental data and actual purchase/cleanup cost of the Omni Source site redevelopment for the north of Downtown St. Mary's River Area, you would think that one would not want to look suspicious or to cozy with contentious ideas in their own transition to office. What is even more sad is no one from the traditional press called him on this either.

Henry picks transition team chief

By Benjamin Lanka The Journal Gazette
Mayor-elect Tom Henry on Thursday made the first of what will likely be several appointments, naming Ben Eisbart to lead his transition team.

Henry said Eisbart's professional and educational experience make him the perfect person to help assemble a new administration. Eisbart is executive vice president of administration for OmniSource Corp. and is a former Democratic member of the Fort Wayne City Council.

Henry said he plans to make further appointments to his transition team in the coming weeks.

Additionally, he asked people interested in positions within his administration to submit resumes online at www.tomhenryformayor.com, via e-mail to campaign@ tom henry for mayor .com or sending them to Henry for Mayor Transition, P.O. Box 5406, Fort Wayne, IN 46859.
