First Post of the Green Year! Let's Have A Quickie? A Quick Political Review That Is.....

Well it has been an interesting two weeks, while I was finishing my 33rd birthday post last Monday evening, my computer decided to take a nose dive into flames and burned itself internally. Talk about trying to blow out a candle, I am not sure yet what caused it, but it died a horrible, painfully agonizing, death. Wait a minute, I thought I was the one experiencing the pain and the agony of loosing.....

F6 Command and Operations has been repaired, all records were backed up, and we are burning the plasma injectors out but still able to achieve basic warp capability. Even though my temporary 20 gig hard drive feels more like a Battle Bridge on a class three Frigate than the 160 gig Luxury Sovereign Class Battle Cruiser hard drive I had previously, gratitude more profound than words can describe go to my brother, CASPIAN GREYWULF. He spent days on end, in dry dock, salvaging what was left of my mainframe and slaving over hot processors to get a used hard drive to work for me temporarily. Thanks also go out to Mark and Topher, for letting me interrupt their New Years Eve, to ring it in with all of you throughout the blogosphere; and remind you too, recycle your Christmas Trees, but keep the tinsel please.

Talking about getting burned and watching your life go up in flames.....

The truce between Hamas and Israel ended over the last week as well. Zionist are on the defensive and Leaders from Hamas have gone into hiding and civilians are now running from white phosphorus bomb attacks by the nation of Israel, who are labelling the civilian casualties as unfortunate and then writing them off as collateral damage. In the recent Military force response this week, they used the condemned weapons, on a key leader of Hamas, Proffesor Nizar Rayan's, family dwelling - which is a violation of the Geneva Conventions, but they did not sign on to - and raised the civilian death total to 15 Hamas, 5 Israelis, according to the latest reports availble to me.

EDITOR: For more information, read this article from the LA TIMES and watch this video and then this video from The Young Turks for more. Please also refer to this and the end of this post on F6, as they are sort of intertwined. What was that I said a while back about revenge in the name of religion over Sovereign peoples, oh well, I digress.

But guess what, the United States also used WPBs during Operation Iraqi Freedom, in 2004, during the offensive in Fallujah and denied such until November of 2005. So it looks like when all is said and done there will be even more war crimes for President Bush, who will probably get away Scot free. Thank God/dess he is finally ending his eight years of divisiveness and hatred in America.

On the home front, stormy waters are ahead for the inauguration in twenty days.

Besides the ongoing scandal of the Governor of Illinois trying to sell off a Senate seat to the highest bidder, getting stopped in the process by the FBI, and then everyone in Chicago's political machine running for cover, including sitting Federal Representatives. The Governor decided to thumb his nose at the Legislature and the Courts and use his Constitutional power anyway. He appointed Roland Burris, a 71 year old, former Illinois three term Comptroller and one term Attorney General, to fill the vacancy left by Mr. Obama's selection as our next President. Which has now forced Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, to noticeably consider eating his words about standing squarely against any tainted appointment, with possible pressure by "Black Leaders/Community" as this man would be the only Black member of the Senate.

In other news, Governor Bill "sorry but I was confused by the question" Richardson of New Mexico has stepped down from his nomination as Commerce Secretary, in the incoming administration, due to a scandal brewing in his state regarding the distribution of government bonds.

How was that for a quickie, eer, quick review?

See y'all on Wednesday! We should be almost fully operational and triangulated back to our original course by then.

So my Wednesday post is a little late...Homeschooling and the GOP

I have been sitting on some of these stories, partially so they could unfold fully and partially so I could add my perspective without "jumping on the blog wagon" as everyone pulls together and shows their mutual or at least reciprocal outrage for different parts of different events that have happened over the last several weeks.

First lets get the supposed Squirrel Society out of the way as well as the Republican Party of Allen County.

After all the in fighting is said and done what
will be left of the GOP in this county is hard to say with all the posturing and attempts to overthrow the current regime through the precinct committee positions (the ones whom have the "stockholder" positions in the Party), and the withholding of funds by major party supporters until there is a change proves yet again why just having a free market system would in turn either improve a product and service or remove it by a show of silent force of the public or constituency.

What is really sad is that after all the work and money that was put into
remodeling the GOP Headquarters downtown several years back as a "Shine"-ing testament by their fearless leader is going up for sale and the offices of the GOP are having to be relocated for a lack of funding for the two grand plus a month in rent and all the utilities, not to mention the fact the Party is now in serious debt.

For supposed fiscal conservatives I find all of it absolutely hilarious!

In other news that hit the national and
local blogs is a controversy over homeschooling, school choice, and the purpose of Systematic Public Instruction that is mandated by law with compulsion to all our children. Thanks to an old California law a court has made a blanket ruling stating that in fact it is illegal to not have a credentialed teacher, tutor, or instructor, providing the education in the home. Before I comment further there are some awesome updates on this particular case over at The Full Quiver.

The California case was not a normal situation and unlike other bloggers I believe the panel had every right to restrict what school the children could be placed in given the documented abuse of privileges by the parents and the particular school 's failure to assure the safety of the children and that they were receiving an adequate balanced education. Applying the decision without giving the legislature time to address the issue was just a tad over barring but still a precedented legitimate interpretation of the law.

This decision will hamper home schooling locations in the immediate term of application for the ruling yet think of the benefits for all the substitute teachers who will now be able to be hired on full or part time by parents looking to keep their children at home. It is a boom for the economy no matter how the situation unfolds. However if parents are then required to provide an instructor, the State should pay the persons that are hired salaries as the parents have already paid their taxes; and so therefore the State, is then obligated to sustain the most beneficial education possible for each student and that should still be determined by the parents discretion in normal cases.

Stipulating as I have in the past:
I am a product of the Public School system and proud of it!

Now, I do believe there needs to be a minimum certification process though with continuing education requirements but the idea of asking a parent to go through a complete three year certification process is about as ridiculous as my last attempt to get a teacher in Public Schools to stay past 3:30 to help one of my kids with work in math. I couldn't do it because I am numerically dyslexic.

I also believe there needs to be more openness with the school districts providing textbooks and social interaction time like Phys Ed courses and other enrichment program (eg: art, band choir, wood shop, etc.) times for a concentrated opportunity for children to have a balanced education and for the parents to get a break a couple days a week, especially with high school and middle school students.

Most high school and middle school teachers in FWCS, as I have been told, get one planning period per day and that could easily be converted by the School Board into providing a continued enrichment support for home school children, again only on like Tuesdays and Thursdays, as a limited enrichment opportunity.

I should probably just give up hope and run for the School Board myself!

One more case of police brutality this time in a High School in California

School Guards Break Child's Arm And Arrest Her For Dropping Cake
Pandemic of police and security violence continues unabated

School security guards in Palmdale, CA have been caught on camera assaulting a 16-year-old girl and breaking her arm after she spilled some cake during lunch and left some crumbs on the floor after cleaning it up.

The incident occurred last week at Knight High School in Palmdale and was caught on a cell phone camera by another pupil who was then also assaulted by the security guards.

Watch video of the incident here (Video Link One) and here (Video Link Two)

The girl, Pleajhai Mervin, told Fox News LA that she was bumped while queuing for lunch and dropped the cake. After being ordered to clean it up and then re-clean the spot three times, she attempted to leave the area out of embarrassment but was jumped on by security who forced her onto a table, breaking her wrist in the process.

Pleajhai also says that the security guard in the picture yelled "hold still nappy-head" at her, which at the time she did not know was a racist comment.

In an even more shocking development the security guards later had the mother of the girl arrested after she sought out an attorney and demanded that the guard be arrested, telling her that if she wanted the guard detained then she herself would also be charged with battery after she allegedly pushed the guard and an assistant principal of the school. She has also been suspended from her job at another school in the county.

The school expelled Pleajhai for five days before then having her arrested for battery and for littering (the dropping of the cake). Then they had the pupil who captured the video arrested along with his sister who was merely present at the scene.

A walkout is planned for this morning by some students, after which the protesters will call for the firing of the main security guard involved.

The incident serves as another unbelievable case in the wave of police brutality sweeping the country. In recent days we have covered multiple incidents of this nature and have compiled them into a page which will no doubt be added to in the months to come.

Commentators have linked the increased cases of brutality with a post 9/11 mentality in America where civil liberties have been totally diminished and the anointed "authorities" simply consider themselves above the law.

Former Reagan government official Paul Craig Roberts, for instance, has succinctly described the mentality as having turned "an epidemic of US police brutality into a pandemic".

The media reports linked above clearly sympathize with the girl and her mother but only because the girl "fully complied with the guards' orders".

What on earth have things come to when children are being physically assaulted and arrested in schools by huge fat thugs 5 times their size for "not complying with orders"?

Police and security officials are being trained that it's OK to beat, torture and taser anyone should they not answer their questions or comply with their every order.

The "security" and well being of citizens is no longer the concern of these moronic hired beefbrains who revel in their false positions of power. Ask yourself, why is the security guy pictured above wearing shades indoors? Because it is part of the gang mentality of these idiots who think its cool to put the fear of life into small kids and then break their bones if they fail to cower like mice when picked upon.

And now an update:
High School Security Guards Attack Teen With Cell Phone Camera Then Frame Him Incident provokes national outrage

High School security guards in Palmdale CA have reacted viciously to an incident that was caught on camera last week, creating false charges against school children to detract from their own excessive actions which have since hit the headlines.

The incident at Knight High School, which received national attention yesterday, blew up after security thugs assaulted a 16 year old school girl and broke her arm after she dropped some cake and did not clean it up to the satisfaction of the guards.

The Guards then viciously assaulted a 16 year old boy who captured video of the incident on his cell phone. After the guards noticed the boy was filming them they forcefully tackled him, pushing his head into the ground and twisting his arm behind his back. The boy's sister attempted to intervene as other students began to film on phones.

After initially letting the boy go, the security guards had him and his sister arrested a day later on assault charges after angry parents hit out and demanded the firing of the guards in question. The school also had the girl who dropped the cake arrested for littering and the girl's mother arrested on a separate fabricated assault charge.

While the mainstream media has played down this terrible incident merely referring to it as a "scuffle", and Knight High School has refused to condemn the actions of the guards, public reaction has been heated.

This incident represents another example of how police and security personnel believe they can simply invent charges against innocent people they clash with. Two weeks ago we featured a story on a motorist who caught a St. George Police Sergeant named Kenline stating that he had the power to invent charges that would put the man behind bars.

Security Guards' Confrontation With Students Prompts Protest

KNBC
Saturday September 29, 2007

PALMDALE, Calif. -- Parents and students at Knight High School protested Friday morning because of an incident in which three teenagers and a mother were arrested last Thursday after alercations with security guards, prompting an investigation into the guards' behavior.

The altercations were videotaped by students at a birthday celebration during the school's lunch hour. At some point, birthday cake was tossed around and landed on the floor, sparking a series of events.

A female student who is shown on the video being held down by a guard said she had dropped cake and bent down to clean it up. She said when the security guard told her to clean up part of the mess that had been overlooked, a verbal altercation erupted -- and quickly turned physical.

The security guard grabbed her by the arm as she headed out, the student said. She said the security guard was overzealous in twisting her arms and, despite her pleas, he broke her wrist, which was later put into a cast.

"He grabbed me by my arm and put my arm behind my back and pulled it up until it hurt," said student Pleajhai Mervin. "Then, he slammed me on the table." The security guard called her a "nappy-head," Mervin said.

Mervin, who was later arrested and expelled from school, said that when the security guard realized the incident was being recorded, he tackled the other student taking the video. That male student was also arrested, and his sister was arrested when she saw him on the ground with the guard and tried to intervene, she said.

The male student has been incarcerated at a juvenile detention center, KNBC reported, because he was already on probation for robbery at the time of the incident.

After Mervin's mother, Latricia Majors, arrived at the school, she was arrested for allegedly battering the principal. Majors spent the evening in jail. Majors later said she hired an attorney from the Cochran firm and planned to sue the school district.

"I want justice for my daughter," Majors said. "The security guards who wronged her, I want them to be held accountable for their actions."

The Antelope Valley Union School District said in a statement: "A recent incident occurred... that has caused serious concern within the district and our community... an event that resulted in a physical confrontation between school staff and students.

"The district has launched an investigation... and an employee of the district has been placed on paid administrative leave." The district's superintendent told KNBC that physical confrontation is always a last resort to maintain order. District officials said the 25-year-old security guard has been with the district for two years.

Another case of police brutality this time in Indiana

Police in Roseland, Indiana, attack a peaceful dissident, at a City Council meeting or something, and accuse him of battery! Thanks to Lew Rockwell for the story

Here is the story for the Roseland Indiana police brutality:
If you ever get disgusted with city officials here, just imagine how much worse it could be:

ROSELAND — Three days after another fracas and arrest at a Roseland Town Council meeting, some town residents and business owners are optimistic better days are ahead for the community. But they also believe there needs to be a better way to remove public officials from office in Indiana.“I would like to see the town get back to what it used to be — one that we were proud and happy to live in,” longtime resident Pat Szigeti said Monday.

“I think people need the whole story before they make judgments,” she added, referring to the latest incident. “I realize it looked bad. … It was shocking.”

She was talking about Friday night when council member David Snyder, after being ejected from the council meeting, was involved in an altercation with Town Marshal Jack Tiller that was caught by television cameras at the front door of Town Hall.

Snyder said the marshal lunged and pushed him through the door to the Town Hall, causing him to fall, hit his head and lose consciousness. When he awoke, he was being hit in the face by Tiller, he said.

Television video footage shows the officer on top of Snyder, striking him.

Some people in Roseland think Indiana needs a recall law for public officials, which they seem eager to use. It would probably be used in a lot of cities, come to think of it.
Ganked with gratitude from Leo Morris' Opening Arguments

Fr. Fozy: Keep in mind that she said, "
I think people need the whole story before they make judgments. I realize it looked bad. … It was shocking." regarding the "latest incident".

One thing failed to be reported or researched, is a basic question, ?Why hasn't the whatever bureau in charge of the Open Door Policies for local government
investigate the other issues/incidents?" In addition this would be a primary case study for State Police and or a Sheriff being posted to assure equal redress of a government body let alone the fact that the government body shouldn't be ejecting members out of its own meetings.

Just some thoughts. What are yours?

Senator Kerry should be ashamed of himself. Police Brutality Will Not Silence Us!

Thank you James for forwarding this to me.

My Fellow Americans,

This morning, like I do every morning, I turned on the television, in order to watch CNN's American Morning. Of course, I had to endure meaningless pseudo-news, such as Britney Spears' post-rehab, drug use and O.J. Simpson's "sting operation," before I was actually able to watch segments that mattered. In particular, one shocking story caught my eye:

Yesterday, Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) addressed a forum at the University of Florida. When the appointed time came for questions and answers, Andrew Meyer, a 21 year old student, stepped up to the microphone and queried the former presidential candidate:

- "Why did you concede the 2004 Presidential Election within one day, when there was rampant voter disenfranchisement and notable voting machine malfunctions and manipulations?"

- "If you are so worried about Bush invading Iran, why don't you impeach him? Clinton was impeached for a blow job."

- "Were not you and Bush part of the Skull and Bones Society at Yale?"

Soon thereafter, the police forcibly cuffed and floored this courageous, young man. While restrained and showing no signs of resistance, an officer tasered Meyer. In fact, before that act of police brutality, he had even pleaded with them *not* to taser him.

What occured at that forum is unacceptable in a supposedly, liberal, representative democracy. That blatant act of police misconduct was more becoming of a fascist state than one that values freedom of speech. Those three officers should be summarily fired, and Meyer ought to bankrupt that department in civil court. Thank God all of this was recorded on multiple cameras!

I am an angry, fed-up liberal, and others like me are not taking it anymore! Police brutality and the wiles of the fascist, Bush Regime will not silence us from speaking the truth! In fact, actions such as these, embolden us and compel us to speak it even more loudly and boldly. It certainly is time for regime change in our country!

God Bless America - Strength Through Peace,

James

The source stories: From Yahoo News | Mon Sep 17, 11:35 PM ET |

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - A University of Florida student was Tasered and arrested Monday when he attempted to speak at a forum with U.S. Sen. John Kerry during a question and answer session, university officials said.

Andrew Meyer, 21, asked Kerry, D-Mass., why he did not contest the 2004 presidential election, which he lost to President Bush, and why there had been no moves to impeach Bush.

"He apparently asked several questions — he went on for quite awhile — then he was asked to stop," university spokesman Steve Orlando said. "He had used his allotted time. His microphone was cut off then he became upset."

While as many as four police officers tried to remove Meyer from the forum, he yelled for help and asked "What did I do?" Minutes after Meyer started speaking, he was Tasered.

Meyer was charged with resisting an officer and disturbing the peace, according to Alachua County jail records. No bond had been set. Meyer was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning, a jail official said.

It was not known if Meyer had an attorney.

Orlando said university police would conduct an internal investigation on the incident.

"The police department does have a standard procedure for when they use force, including when they use a Taser," Orlando said. "That is what the internal investigation would address — whether the proper procedures were followed, whether the officers acted appropriately."
Now that you have read the cover up let us see the proof a Democrat aloof and not standing up for the same things he did even yet more heinous in his early adulthood while protesting Vietnam.
