Keep The Promise theme for World AIDS Day this year
December 1st commemorates the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day, a day in which everyone at risk for contracting AIDS or knows someone at risk takes time to remember those lost to the disease, living with HIV or AIDS, and pushing for a cure, and maintain the fight so that future generations will not be affected by HIV/AIDS.
Fort Wayne will be honoring World AIDS Day with a keynote address by Rev. Beating You Up In A Winter Weary Land Next Sunday
A special Christmas performance with Memories of the King will be given by Brent A. Cooper (MySpace), from 5-6P. Come out early and enjoy the show and bring the kids to see Santa, too! At 6P get your derby fix on Sunday, the 7th of December, 2008 @ Bell's Skating Rink. Winter Wonder Brawl, features the Fort Wayne Derby Girls split into two teams: The Sugar Plum Scaries and the Nutcrackers, duking it out for a fellow derby girl. Earlier this year, Derby Girl Snarles Manson was diagnosed with cancer. A portion of the proceeds from this charity exhibition bout will be donated to her and her family. Admission is $5 or a gift card equivalent.
