(Lafayette, Indiana - AP) Cameras at six Indiana attractions will soon give online viewers a glimpse of fall color. The state's "leaf cam" Web site updates images of the six locations every 15 minutes. Cheri Daniels, the wife of Gov. Mitch Daniels, says the leaf cams might help Hoosiers decide where they might want to go for a day trip to see vibrant leaves. So far, though, the leaves are mostly green. Leaf Cams are at the Lafayette Municipal Golf Course, Hilltop Cabins in Brown County, Conner Prairie in Hamilton County, Spring Mill State Park in Mitchell, Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis and the French Lick Resort Casino. Sorry you're not fond of the Leaf Cam, but it turns out these installations are paid for by innkeepers tax dollars (established in Indiana for the use of tourism purposes only) from each county. The state did not pay for the Leaf Cam; the Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau paid for Conner Prairie's using fund provided for by out-of-area guests -- who like to look at things like Leaf Cams.
You contradicted yourself but it is okay.
Tax Levies are issued by government entities and then collected by the State and then some of the money is returned to the government entities. Not to mention that the State is the one who established the right and parameters for the Convention and Visitors Bureau to exist in and therefore is culpable to the expense of the Leaf Cam through an over regulated/instituted tax burden on both people and private business. They have no business forcing business to pay for something as frivolous as a LEAF Camera even if it is just through just one more extra tax dollar.
I appreciate the information and I will always leave my blog open to the full story being told. Please do not hesitate to fill in more information, as the original post was simply a direct copy of an Associated Press wire memo. With the limited commentary presented by me in the chosen picture and title posted, which is a common practice but, does not report dissatisfaction except implying natural sarcasm.
Blessings
